One Month

Henry's first month has gone by very quickly! We are so in love with our sweet little man. He is growing like a little weed. He now weighs 11 lbs 10 oz (91%) and is 23" (92%). He is a BIG BOY!

Fall is here!

It's been a while since our last post. Cohen caught a cold his first week of school and then gave it to Henry. I think both boys are finally better. Last week, Cohen did so well at school! Tuesday, he waved hi to Ms. Sanders as I passed him off, and he blew me kisses bye. On Thursday, he walked right into the classroom and didn't even look back at me. I'm so proud of him!

Fall is finally here, and the weather is beautiful! We took the boys to the Lazy 5 Ranch Saturday morning. It was quite the adventure. I think it should be renamed the Crazy 5 Ranch. They have thousands of animals wandering around, and you drive your car through a three mile trail as they come up to your car and you feed them. We bought two buckets of food, but after 10 seconds on the trail, our windows went up fast and we decided the animals were getting none from us. It was kind of freaky at times! The pictures we took don't do it justice. It really was insane. The funniest part was seeing a Prius cutting off the trail a quarter of a mile in - off-roading it to get the heck out of there. Hilarious.

Cohen got really scared at times. I can't blame him. We were freaked out too. I love animals, but it wasn't very natural having your car surrounded by 100s of wild animals who are fearless of you. I kept closing my eyes...telling myself, if I don't see it, it's not there.

The lamas and ostriches were pretty scary. They had no fear of the cars and were pretty aggressive.

The zebra was our favorite - He was so cute and sweet standing by the car looking at us.

The giraffes were so cool! We were so close - especially when we were looking out the sunroof.

Cohen could have watched the monkeys, turtles and fish all day.

Cohen passed out on the way home. It was such a fun adventure!

Henry was pooped out too.

Week Two

Henry turned two-weeks-old yesterday. He is such an awesome baby! Cohen is still enjoying his role as big brother.

Cohen played with his "Choo-Choos," and I snapped a few pictures of Henry last week. He makes the same scowl face Cohen did as a baby.

Granddaddy and Nona came up for a quick visit on Thursday.

Nana helped out with Cohen and Henry (and ME) all week!


We are thankful that the boys have so many wonderful grandparents!

Cohen's First Day of School

Our little Cohen has matured so much the past couple of months. He started school at Myers Park Baptist this past Tuesday. He did well that morning, but Thursday was a different story. His teacher, Ms. Sanders, said that he cried on and off all morning. Poor little buddy. Cohen has had so many new adventures this past week - becoming a big brother, having grandparents around 24-7 taking care of him and adjusting to school. Hopefully he'll have a better time at school on Tuesday!

Cohen HAD to wear his boots out of the house. We did a quick switch in the car before getting to school.

First Week Home

We are having an absolute blast with our two boys! Life can't get any better. We are so blessed and have love overflowing at the Hathaway house.

Cohen had a blast with GG and Papa this past week! Cohen was a bit spoiled - look at the chocolate milkshake stains on his t-shirt. Thank you, GG and Papa, for all you do for us!

Although FSU and UVA lost Saturday, the boys enjoyed dressing in their gameday gear.

Cohen did such a good job holding his little brother. He could have held and kissed Henry all afternoon if we let him. He kept climbing onto the couch with his hands reached out for Henry.

Henry Michael Hathaway is here!

After 24 hours of hard work by Mom, Henry arrived yesterday, September 4th 2010, at 7:14pm. He's absolutely amazing and Mom is just as amazing. The boy is big, coming in at 8lbs 11ozs and 22 inches long. We're so blessed and excited for all the adventures God has in store for us and our two boys.

Cohen has come to visit several times already (thanks Gigi!) and is so proud. He loves pushing his younger brother around the hallways and patting anywhere Mom and Dad will allow.
