The Fun Continues...

We have had another great weekend in Charlotte. Meredith babysat Cohen Friday, and David and I enjoyed a long overdue date night at Crepe Cellar...yummy! Saturday morning, Cohen woke-up feeling under the weather, so we skipped swim lessons (he's already playing hooky!). By mid-morning, he perked-up some, so David took him to Discovery Place. That evening, we enjoyed hanging out with the McCulloughs. Cohen loved playing with Corbitt and Mac. After we put Cohen to bed, I had a blast watching the Seminole baseball team make a huge comeback against Miami! Now, we're enjoying a low-key Sunday afternoon at the house...I predict a trip to the park when Cohen wakes up from nap!

Aunt Courtney stopped by this week to hang out with Cohen. Here are some pictures I snapped on the front porch while we played.

And I have to say, I am missing my other babies like crazy. Biggie and Hankus Barankus, I know you're having a blast in Jacksonville with your grandparents, but don't forget about your family in Charlotte!

Spring Fun

We are having the best April weather! Cohen lives outside these days, playing in the dirt, watering the plants with Dad, going on walks and wagon rides, playing with his next door neighbor buddy Finn, going to the park, splashing in the pool and just being a boy!

On Friday, I wore Cohen's favorite necklace of mine. He wasn't satisfied until I gave it up, and he put it around his neck.

Saturday morning, Cohen took his first official swim lesson. One would think that after spending last summer in the pool and playing in his own pool on the deck, he would love being in the water. Nope. He cried almost the entire lesson. Poor buddy. Hopefully next week will go better!

After church on Sunday, we had a blast with friends and neighbors at the Annual Spring Fling. Cohen ate hot dogs, ice cream, looked at the petting zoo and pony ride (he was more interested in the trucks that hauled the animals to church) and ran around on the lawn.

Cohen was obsessed with the bouncy slide. He pushed his way into line with the big kids, and he must have flown down it about 10 times.

Cohen loves balloons. He giggled the whole time he chased his around the lawn.

OH BOY!

We are thrilled to be adding another precious baby BOY to our household at the beginning of September! Our little guy is "perfect" - to quote the doctor. I saw his little package immediately and announced to David that it's a boy! He is a mover and a kicker. I feel him wiggling around all the time, and sometimes I see my stomach rolling and popping. It amazes me. We are beyond happy that Cohen will grow up with a brother. I cannot wait to watch my boys (I love saying that!) play, share, compete, love and even fight. God made me to have baby boys!

It's a boy!

It's hard to see this picture, but "little man" had a message for big brother Cohen. As soon as I said that the boys are going to be very competitive, baby held up his pointer finger, signaling to Cohen that he will be #1. Ha!

Despite the early trash talking this morning, Cohen is so excited to have a little brother. He couldn't stop smiling after his dinner of spaghetti, sweet potatoes and yogurt tonight.

Pool Party!

Two of Cohen's best friends, Lillian and Brady, came over for an afternoon pool party today. Cohen got so excited when he woke up from his nap to his friends playing in the living room. We all had a blast!

Masters Weekend

We had a nice, relaxing weekend. The weather was perfect, so we took full advantage and played outside a lot! Cohen loves his new giraffe pool! You can't see the neck and head, but Cohen gave his giraffe lots of hugs. Aunt Laura and Uncle Mike took Cohen to ImaginOn Saturday afternoon. He loved spending time with them! Cohen tried watching The Masters with David, but he wasn't really into it, so we played in the pool, walked around the neighborhood and took lots of wagon rides. It was a perfect weekend!

Night, night...

Hippity Hoppity

Last week got off to a rough start as I was sick again for the third time in a month. Thanks to a round of antibiotics and GG flying-up early to help out, I was better by Thursday afternoon. We met Cohen's best buddies at Freedom Park to enjoy the extra warm spring weather. GG even flew down the big slide with Cohen!

David left work early on Good Friday, so we met him at Freedom Park for the pre-Easter festivities. Cohen loved staring at and waving to the giant blow-up gorilla. He did not want to get too close, though!


The heat wore us out! Cohen cooled off on the way home by spraying himself with water.


We walked down to our neighbor's house late Friday afternoon for pool time. Cohen had a blast splashing around with Peter and Nora.

Papa arrived Friday evening, and Cohen had a blast playing chase around the house with him! David and Papa took Cohen to Discovery Place for a boys afternoon on Saturday.

Easter Sunday was beautiful! We started off at the sunrise worship service at our park down the street. Cohen was a little confused why we weren't playing on the playground. Afterward, we went to the club for brunch and an Easter egg hunt. Cohen had the time of his life running all over the driving range. He is such a lover. He was walking around hugging all the children, big and small.

We finished off the day at the park with Cohen. We were exhausted and all went to bed early!

It was an amazing weekend! We were reminded again of our special blessing on the way too. I've been feeling baby moving around inside of me for a few weeks now. Yesterday, baby kicked me so hard that I felt it on the outside of my belly for the first time! I guess he/she liked all of the Easter goodies I ate yesterday.
