Soccer

Cohen and Henry were so excited to finally play on the same sports team this fall!  We have loved tball, but we decided soccer would be a great first sport for Henry, and Cohen was excited for to try something new.

The boys are so lucky to have three sets of grandparents, who came to every game!

It was a fantastic first season, and the boys are excited to play again this spring.  

Henry is Four!

Henry turned 4-years-old on September 4th.  He is such a big boy now, and he is very proud of himself.  We celebrated his birthday with all of our Jacksonville family at Sliders.  Henry requested dinner at "Swiders because they have my favowite cwackers."  How could we say no to that?  We had a blast taking over the restaurant with our laughter and the boys' famous Knock-Knock Jokes.  

Henry wanted a cake with marshmallows and sprinkles - I named my creation the Marshmallow Rainbow cake.  It was delicious.  

Henry is the happiest little man, constantly smiling and making everyone around him laugh as they fall in love with him.  We can't wait to see what FOUR has in store for him.

Back to School

I don't even know where to begin as I write this post.  My mind is swirling with memories over the past 5 1/2 years.  In a sense, it feels like those years have flown by.  And at the same time, I can think back to so many milestones and amazing moments, and I can truly say that I savored every ounce of time I spent with our boys.  Last month, we started another huge chapter as Cohen entered kindergarten.  In the past, I have never cried at the beginning of each school year.  But, the week leading up to the first day, I was a sobbing mess.  I couldn't stand the thought of him being away from me for 7 hours each day.  I was worried about him starting at a new school and making new friends.  Cohen was excited and more than ready, but honestly, I wasn't quite there.  He has acclimated quickly and easily, and I love hearing about the fun experiences he has each day.  But I still miss him and count down the minutes until I pick him up at 3 o'clock!

 We are excited for a fun-filled year!

Transitioning Henry to a new preschool was very easy and exciting!  He has been waiting for two years to go to "Cohen's school," so he was thrilled to start at Community Presbyterian in Mrs. Fogg's class.  He looks forward to school, and he begs to stay longer when I have to pick him up.

Bahamas!

We spend our last week of summer break in Treasure Cay.  The boys have been counting down the days to this vacation for months, and they were ecstatic when the day finally arrived.  The plane ride to the Abacos was quite an experience - the boys were thrilled to be the only ones on our tiny plane (along with GG and Papa).  We joined up with Nona and Granddad as well as Laura, Mike and Bennie when we arrived.  

Our week was filled with sunny days on the boat and beach.

We took a trip to No Name Cay to feed the pigs.  It was such a cool experience!

We were all sad to leave.

It was a fantastic way to end our fun summer.  Thank you to Pam and Rick for hosting us at one of their favorite places.  It truly was one of the best trips ever, and we hope to be able to repeat it soon!

Summer Recap

Time needs to slow down!  I have neglected our blog all summer long - we have been having way too much fun.  Here are some highlights from the past four months...

 Cohen graduated from VPK and had an end of year celebration with his class at the beach.  He has grown into a smart, mature, funny and sweet little boy.  We are so proud of him.
