David and I were heartbroken when we found out Henry would have to undergo heart surgery. We were there for everything. Seeing Henry in the hospital was probably harder on me than it was on him. We felt that it was only right for us to also have some sort of "proof," or a reminder of what our family went through. David and I got tattoos of Henry's initials Saturday night. We will have them forever - a constant reminder of how quickly life can change, a reminder to never take life for granted, a reminder to be thankful for the amazing doctors we have access to and a reminder to always be thankful for our family.
"You guys decided to do what???"

"You guys decided to do what???"
Here is David's.
And here is mine.
We love them, and apparently, Henry does too!
Cohen calls them our "art." He loves looking at them!
