Blowing Rock Weekend

I fell in love this weekend. With Blowing Rock. Words and photos can't describe the beauty. This was the sunrise from the deck at our cabin, Little Mountain Dream. The pictures don't do it justice. We literally watched the leaves change and become more vibrant by the hour. Unbelievable.

We walked around the adorable historic downtown...
and played at the best park...every day.

Cohen's good friend, Leighton, was also in town! They had the best time running around the park together.

Henry could slide all day long.
I love the way Henry looks at Cohen with total admiration.
This weekend, it was Cohen's turn to take Curious George home from school. Curious George went all over the mountains with us. He has not left Cohen's side for a second.
"Hiking" at Moses Cone Manor. We would have loved to explore more, but it's tough with two little ones.

Hendog loved rolling down the grass hills.
The drive up the Blue Ridge Parkway was breathtaking. I've never seen anything so beautiful in my life. We took the boys to Grandfather Mountain on Sunday, and we stopped at a bunch of lookouts along the way.

Cohen was so excited to see the bears. He would have been happy watching them the rest of the afternoon.

Checking out the deer

Poor Hendog caught a cold and is cutting 3 molars, but he still managed to have a good time. The best news is that he took his first few steps in the mountains! He wants to go, go, go so badly, but I think he has a little more time until he's a legitimate walker.
It was the best weekend! We didn't want to leave...or as Cohen says, "I don't wanna weave." Hopefully we will go back again very soon!
